So, consider these before enrolling in a class:

  • Clear Instructions: Make sure the class provides easy-to-follow instructions. Clear guidance is essential for understanding techniques with clarity.
  • Skill Level Compatibility: Confirm that the class aligns with your skill level. Classes serve for various levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. ALWAYS select one that suits your current abilities.
  • Instructor Credentials: Don’t forget to verify the instructor’s credentials. A qualified and experienced instructor contributes significantly to the quality of the class.

For example, paying $77 for the Power Muay Thai course gives you a lot more material to study compared to the cost of a single private training session. 

However, if you’re thinking of taking a course to supplement your in-person class, consider the value. Because the quality of training across various disciplines in certain Martial Arts courses likely makes it worth the price.

Remember! There are also FREE OPTIONS available online, like Introduction to Taekwondo and Judo101, if you’re on a tight budget. So, even if you don’t have much money to spend, there are still learning options for you.

How Long Does it Take to Learn Martial Arts?

TRUST ME. Learning Martial Arts varies for each person, but on average, it takes about six months to a year to grasp basic techniques. 

Consistent practice, typically two to three times a week, speeds up progress. Learning the basics involves understanding stances, punches, kicks, and basic self-defense moves.

Plus, to become proficient, expect at least three to five years of regular training. Advanced skills, such as mastering complex forms and achieving higher belt levels, can take even longer.

However, it’s important to note that even shorter video courses require practice time. Merely watching a 90-minute class won’t turn you into a Thai Boxing champion. Mastery of Martial Arts techniques demands hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of practice. 

Above all, Martial Arts will support both physical fitness and mental discipline.
